This is a magical view you can be witnessed in winter if you visit Central Greece Karditsa Lake Plastira. It’s an “artificial” lake which was created in 1959 with the completion of the dam at the southern end of the principle river Tavropos or Megdova and the idea for the construction of assigned military and civilian Nikolaos Plastiras, when in 1935 he visited his home town, and had been devastating floods in the region of Macedonia and the persistent rain, watching the area reportedly said “here that will one day become a lake”, from where the most famous name. I almost grew there and I believe is one of the most beautiful lakes in Greece!!!So much to do and see and taste not only in winter but the whole year!!
